A curated experience for women seeking culture, connection, rest, and beauty — rooted in the land and people of El Salvador.
This retreat is an invitation to slow down and experience El Salvador through connection, culture, and community. From October 25–30, 2026, we'll gather as a small group of women at a private lakeside villa on Lago Coatepeque — sharing meals inspired by Salvadoran traditions, creating alongside local artisans, walking ancient ground, and allowing space for rest, reflection, and meaningful conversation.
This is not a fast-paced tour or a luxury resort escape. It's an intentional experience for women who want to travel with care, curiosity, and presence — honoring the land and the people who call it home.

ABOUT YOUR HOST
Hi, I'm Rachael — founder of Salutierra and the woman who will be with you every step of this journey.
I'm the daughter of Salvadoran immigrants, and for most of my life, El Salvador felt just out of reach. I only traveled once as a child, and growing up, I carried a quiet sense of disconnection from my culture — knowing it was mine, but not quite knowing how to claim it.
In 2020, I returned to El Salvador for the first time as an adult. That trip changed everything. What began as a search for roots became something much deeper — a relationship with a country, its people, and what it truly means to be Salvadoreña. I've been going back ever since, building connections with artisans, community partners, and women doing extraordinary work across the country. Salutierra grew from that journey — a way to share what I've found with others who are ready to see it.
These group trips are my way of showing you El Salvador through my eyes — the beauty, the warmth, the craft, the culture, the people. The connections I've built over years of returning are what make this experience possible, and they're what make it feel different from anything you could plan on your own.
