ABOUT THE RETREAT

About the El Salvador Retreat

This retreat is an invitation to slow down and experience El Salvador through connection, culture, and community.

From May 3–8, 2026, we’ll gather as a small group of women for a thoughtfully curated journey rooted in place. We’ll spend our days near the waters of Lago Coatepeque, sharing meals inspired by Salvadoran traditions, connecting with local artisans, and allowing space for rest, reflection, and meaningful conversation.

This is not a fast-paced tour or a luxury resort escape. It’s an intentional experience designed for women who want to travel with care, curiosity, and presence — honoring the land and the people who call it home.

Whether this is your first time visiting El Salvador or a return to familiar land, this retreat is about traveling differently and together.

What You’ll Experience

Throughout the week, we’ll move at a gentle pace, balancing exploration with rest and connection.
  • Staying near Lago Coatepeque, surrounded by nature and calm
  • Shared meals rooted in Salvadoran food traditions
  • Cultural experiences with local artisans and creatives
  • Time for rest, reflection, and unstructured downtime
  • Group excursions with space to wander and connect
  • Intentional pacing — no rushing, no packed itineraries

This is an invitation to slow down, travel with care, and experience El Salvador through connection rather than consumption.

Why Travel with Salutierra

Salutierra was created from a deep connection to El Salvador — not just as a destination, but as home, heritage, and community.

Our retreats are shaped by long-standing relationships, family roots, and a love for gathering. This means you’re not stepping into a pre-packaged itinerary — you’re entering a space that has been thoughtfully curated with care and intention.

Traveling with Salutierra means being guided by someone deeply connected to the land and the culture, experiencing El Salvador through relationships rather than tourism, and being part of a small, supportive group where you’re welcomed exactly as you are.

This is travel that honors people, place, and presence.
