About the Piece

The feather shape is sculpted and textured entirely by hand — each barb carved individually, the spine running cleanly through the center with its copper glaze. The cream ceramic has a soft, organic quality that photographs beautifully and sits naturally in any space. The small hole at the base of the stem holds an incense stick securely while it burns, catching the ash along the feather's length.
